Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Amy has lived on the Central Coast since 2006. Amy graduated summa cum laude from Cal Poly SLO with a degree in Earth Sciences and minor in Land Rehabilitation in 2011. While at Cal Poly, she served as officer for the Earth, Soil and Water Conservation Club, received the Environmental Sustainability Award, and conducted research through a grant funded by Caltrans involving rainfall simulation studies and native cover crop establishment. When it comes to land management, Amy values a systems-thinking approach, focusing on environmental sustainability and erosion and sediment control. With a passion for native plants and animals, on days off you can find her in her garden, hiking with her big yellow lab Brody, or birding in the Morro Bay Estuary.
