Amy graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in environmental management and protection and a minor in land restoration. Prior to working at the RCD, Amy worked at Swanton Pacific Ranch as a post-fire forest researcher studying the best post-fire forest practices for long-term forest health. This experience solidified Amy's background with forest surveys, botany, GIS, technical writing, restoration practices and developing research projects. Amy is passionate about supporting the restoration of our natural world because they firmly believe that a healthy environment fosters happiness for the community and they want to be a part of that change. During their free time, Amy enjoys camping, playing guitar, listening to live music, and spending quality time with friends.
